DreamHack Austin's CS:GO competition took place this past weekend, and although it wasn't the best teams in the world competing there were some major organisations present to fight over $100,000 USD, with Space Soldiers emerging victorious at the end of it all to earn the lion's share of $50,000.

Things didn't start amazingly for Space Soldiers, as despite two wins against compLexity Gaming and OpTic Gaming, their 16-8 loss against Rogue meant they graduated in second place out of Group B. They then faced Heroic (who advanced top out of Group A) in the playoffs, beating them 2-0 to set up a rematch with Rogue, who lost the first map but then won the next to level the score. With all to play for, Space Soldiers turned up the heat to decimate Rogue 16-2 on the last map, Inferno.
