Hearthstone is up there with Blizzard's most successful franchises, and the developer has now announced that a Hearthstone Cosplay Contest is being held for the first time which, while not technically related to esports, does bring out the competitive side in people still.

All you have to do is assemble your cosplay, and send a photo to the following address to enter:

[email protected]

The competition is open until July 27, and you'll need to include the subject (Hearthstone Cosplay Contest + Your Last Name), your name, your contact information, a description of the cosplay, and a photo in either JPEG or JPG that's no larger than 2MB. You're also encouraged to share entries on Facebook and Twitter, using the #hearthstonecosplaycontest hashtag.

What's the prize though? Well, a lucky winner will win an exclusive Aluneth staff replica, and will also be invited to Gamescom 2018, including travel, accommodation, and entry to the event, where they can show off the cosplay on stage for an awards ceremony.

As with a lot of these things, minors under the age of 18 must have a parent's permission to enter, and the competition is open to those over 13. Other rules are also in place, as "cosplay submissions must be based on an existing Hearthstone card (all formats). Personal interpretations of cards are permitted, and creativity is encouraged. Judging criteria will be based on how well the cosplay represents the Hearthstone card and the Hearthstone spirit: fun, light-hearted, and delightfully surprising," Blizzard writes.

Winners will be contacted on August 1, but will you enter?
