Competitive platform Faceit has revealed the dates and location fo the Faceit Minor competitions that will lead up to the London Major taking place this September, as each region will compete live in London's Twickenham Stadium to battle over $50,000 USD and a spot at the major.

Twickenham is a place more associated with rugby rather than esports, but for this event the stadium will offer 24-hour practice rooms, two separate states, a gym, and an executive chef, transforming it into something suitable for the Minor.

As for the Minors as a whole, these will start in July with North and South American regions, competing from July 7-11, before Commonwealth and Independent States (CIS) compete from July 10 to 13; Asia from July 16 to 20; and Europe from July 19 and 22. The open qualifiers for these will start on May 14 - next Monday - and conclude on June 17, with registration to compete open at this link, and once these are done, teams from North America, CIS, and Europe will compete in closed qualifiers against eight invited teams for a total of 16 rosters battling it out for one of eight spots in each regional Minor.

"By hosting each stage of the tournament at Twickenham Stadium we're hoping to bring new life to the Minors," said Michele Attisani, Co-Founder and Chief Business Officer of FACEIT. "The Major should be a celebration of all things CS:GO, we want to bring teams together for the first time and make sure teams of all levels feel welcome and feel the Major experience."

The closed qualifier CIS teams are as follows:

HellRaisers
AVANGAR
FlipSid3 Tactics
Spirit
Pro100
EPG
ForZe
Nemiga Gaming

On top of this, Renegades and TyLoo are the Asian teams invited to the Minor, so things are already taking shape. Do you like Twickenham as a venue?
