Esports organisations Heroic and OpTic Gaming have confirmed that CS:GO players Marco 'Snappi' Pfeiffer and Jacob 'JUGi' Hansen have been transferred from the former to the latter, although no further details have been given, as agreed by both of the teams.

Kasper Hvidt, Director of Sports at Rfrsh Entertainment (who are responsible for Heroic), had this to say on the move:

"It's certainly a big day for the players and for Heroic as an organization. Together, we have secured some nice results and we have somewhat closed the gap to the very best teams out there via teamwork and individual performances. This has not happened without the players making names for themselves, and both Snappi and JUGi are very skilled individuals who certainly deliver top class Counter-Strike when at their best."

"On the other hand, we are working on building Heroic's profile and identity around the performance model and structure, we've seen working with other teams. With this in mind and the nature of the offer we received from OpTic, the choice was not that hard, especially when considering the players were very positive about the offer that was made. It has all happened very fast from receiving the initial offer, through negotiation with both parties and then the players."

Heroic usually has a lineup that includes six players, hence there's only one spot open on the roster right now. For the time being this will be filled by Adam 'Friberg' Friberg, although the press release says this will just be for an "interim period".

Do you think the transfer is beneficial for both parties?
