Esports organiser ESL has announced that the ESL One New York competition - powered by Intel - will be returning to Brooklyn's Barclays Center between September 29 and 30, featuring eight of the world's best CS:GO teams competing for $250,000 USD and another point for the Intel Grand Slam, with $1 million up for grabs.

These teams will include five invited sides and three that earn places through qualifiers, all of which will then compete in a double elimination group stage before the remaining four teams fight through single elimination best-of-three matches on the main stage. The grand final will then move to best-of-five, where the winner will be crowned.

"We look forward to bringing ESL One New York and premier competition back to Barclays Center for another showcase of exciting esports," said Yvette Martinez-Rea, CEO of ESL North America. "One weekend, one crowd, and one spectacular final. At ESL One New York, everything comes together. The passion behind the fans will fuel the amazing esports experience ESL looks to create, and we aim to make this event unforgettable."

If you don't know what the Intel Grand Slam is, this is an incentive to award $1 million as a bonus prize to the first team that wins four out of the last 10 ESL or DreamHack event, and SK are in pole position with two points.

Tickets for ESL One New York will be available tomorrow at 16:00 BST via this link. Are you glad to see this event return for another year?
