Esports competition organiser ESL has officially announced the teams that will be competing in Season 7 of its CS:GO Pro League competition in North America and Europe, and two big names have not renewed their licenses this time around - Misfits, and CLG.

Below is the full list of teams, all of which will be competing in the seven-week competition in the build-up to the offline finals in May, where a prize pool of $1,000,000 dollars will be up for grabs:

Europe

  • Astralis

  • North

  • Team EnVy

  • FaZe Clan

  • Fnatic

  • G2 Esports

  • HellRaisers

  • Heroic

  • AGO Esports

  • Team LDLC

  • mousesports

  • NaVi

  • Ninjas in Pyjamas

  • Space Soldiers

North America

  • Cloud9

  • compLexity

  • Team Dignitas

  • Team Liquid

  • Luminosity Gaming

  • NRG eSports

  • OpTic Gaming

  • Renegades

  • SK Gaming

  • Splyce

  • Rogue

  • Ghost Gaming

No reason was given for Misfits and CLG not renewing their licenses, but we do know that their loss will change the structure of the finals, and that this will be announced soon, with the league re-evaluating the structure for season 8 next year, with the option being to go back to 14 teams from 12.

As a reminder, a recent exclusivity deal means that the Pro League will be streamed exclusively via Facebook, but given the issues ESL had with the streaming of ESL One Genting's Dota 2 tournament, there'll no doubt be concerns about this too.

Are you excited for the league's return?
