Last November saw the Royal Arena in Copenhagen host the Blast Pro Series CS:GO tournament, in which SK Gaming added to their trophy cabinet, and now we know that the competition will be returning this year, but this time the action will take place in Istanbul, Turkey.

This marks the first time Istanbul has hosted a major esports tournament and the first time the top CS:GO teams will go there to compete. The date, venue, tickets, and lineup have yet to be announced, but this location reveal is big enough on its own, and we can't wait for six teams to play on stage simultaneously yet again.

"We are very excited to welcome Istanbul to BLAST Pro Series. Turkey is one of the fastest growing esports countries with more than 30 million esports enthusiasts and Turkish teams are steadily climbing to the top of the world. Istanbul was a natural choice for us and we have no doubt that it will be another record-breaking event," commented Jordi Roig, Executive Producer of the Blast Pro Series.
