It seems there may be a shake-up happening at North.

It was only yesterday we reported that Danish CS:GO team North had put René 'cajunb' Borg on the bench in favour of Academy player Daniel 'mertz' Mertz, and now a new report from Dust2 indicates that Kristian 'K0nfig' Wienecke is also being benched, with another Academy player stepping in to replace him, this allegedly being confirmed by multiple sources.

No specific reasons for K0nfig being benched were cited other than personal issues, which is apparently why no media were allowed to interview him at the Eleague Major in Boston earlier this month.

The same report also claims that players Allan 'AnJ' Jensen and Sebastian 'Basso' Aagaard will be joining the Academy, and while we can't take all this as official confirmation, since it's just speculation for now, it does seem that there's a massive change going on in North, who said after cajunb was benched that this is a "build up phase" in their long-term goal to win titles.

With a brand new coach in the form of Alexander 'ave' Holdt as well, it seems as if the performance at the Eleague Major: Boston was the final straw after a run of poor performances, and that things are finally being switched up at the team. Do you think benching K0nfig is a good decision though?
