DreamHack has announced that Marseille will host the Corsair DreamHack Masters CS:GO competition in April, with a group stage running between April 18 and 20 before the playoffs move to Le Dôme between April 21 and 22 in front of a live audience.

CS:GO will be the main title at this event and will feature a prize pool of $250,000 USD, which 16 teams will be competing for a share of. As pointed out in the press release, the tournament has grown a lot, and continues to be the "most viewed independent tournament".

"We're thrilled to be expanding our presence in France with the addition Marseille in our 2018 event calendar," said Marcus Lindmark, CEO & President of DreamHack AB. "We've received great interest for the Corsair DreamHack Masters product from a variety of partners and cities. Naturally we were excited to see the shared philosophy City of Marseille displayed and so we can't wait to bring this event to France's south coast in April."

Tickets for the event will go on sale on January 12 at 10:00 CET (09:00 GMT) right here, and more news will follow in the coming weeks. Can this be one of the top DreamHack events of the year?
