Blizzard has unveiled a load more details about the upcoming Overwatch League over on their website, including schedules, prize money, and much more, following the release of all 12 franchises in the league and their team names.

The regular season will take place from January 10, following the preseason event from December 6 to 9, and will be divided into four stages, each spanning five weeks. In between each stage will be a break of around 10 days, and during each week of the stages matches will be played between Wednesdays and Saturdays at the Blizzard Arena Los Angeles. Here are the dates:

Stage 1: January 10—February 10
Stage 2: February 21—March 24
Stage 3: April 4—May 5
Stage 4: May 16—June 16

The last Saturday of each stage will see two title matches take place, where the top three teams in the standings will have a seeded playoff for $125,000 USD in performance bonuses, which means that teams who aren't in postseason contention in the latter part of the season can still win big prizes. These title matches, however, don't count towards full season records.

There are two divisions in the League as well, the Pacific Division and the Atlantic Division, which are broken down as follows:

- Pacific Division: Dallas Fuel, Los Angeles Gladiators, Los Angeles Valiant, San Francisco Shock, Seoul Dynasty, Shanghai Dragons
- Atlantic Division: Boston Uprising, Florida Mayhem, Houston Outlaws, London Spitfire, New York Excelsior, Philadelphia Fusion

During the regular season each team will play 40 games, with half in their own division and half in the other division. These divisions then come into play for postseason seeding, since the top in each division qualifies for the post season and gets an automatic place in the playoffs.

In the regular season three matches will be played a day from Wednesday through to Saturday, with all matches consisting of four-map sets. The map pool for the entire season will be annonced before the season begins, and although all matches are taking place at the same arena, there will still be home and away teams, with venues having actual home and away games once teams have set up venues.

When the last stage comes to a close, six teams will move onto the season championship to win the trophy, with two of these teams being the winners of each division. The other teams will be the top sides by full season record, with playoffs beginning on July 11 and running through until July 22. The grand final will then take place from July 26 to 28, and the winner will receive a $1 million bonus. As for the venues for the playoffs and grand final, this "will be announced in the months to come."

Performance bonuses have also been revealed, amounting to $3.5 million, and here's how they break down:

Stage Title Match bonuses:

First place: USD $100,000
Second place: USD $25,000
Total: USD $500,000 over four stages
