The DreamHack Masters Malmö 2017 is now over, and after many top teams went into the competition, only one could remain as the victor, and that was G2 Esports, who won $100,000 USD as first prize, along with the trophy itself.

Just like North, Ninjas in Pyjamas, and Astralis, G2 Esports qualified top of their group, with SK Gaming, Immortals, Natus Vincere, and Gambit Esports joining them in the playoffs where the stakes were raised. G2's first match was a close one against SK Gaming where they won 2-1, going on to beat Ninjas in Pyjamas in the semi-finals 2-0. North had their own great run of form, though, beating Immortals and Gambit in back to back 2-0 victories.

G2 Esports, however, were the dominant side in the final, winning 16-12 and 16-9 on Inferno and Cobblestone respectively to send North out of the competition, something that will sting considering the Danish side's long search for success.

Are G2 among the best teams in the world right now?
