The Blast Pro Series is hitting Copenhagen's Royal Arena in November (with teams like Ninjas in Pyjamas and FaZe Clan competing), and now we know that the Pro Series will also be going to the US, with invited teams being mostly North and South American.
Rfrsh CEO Nikolaj Nyholm had this to say about the news: "Blast Pro Series has been the centre of a lot of attention from many sides, and in connection with the launch of the format in Copenhagen, we will host a number of representatives from more than 20 international cities, who are all interested in experiencing the latest live format within esports. Already now, we are in dialogue with a number of cities including Miami, New York, Austin and others, and we are looking to present BLAST Pro Series in the US in the early months of 2018."
The format will be the same as that in Copenhagen, giving fans a better experience in seeing the group stage matches, which will be played in the main arena. This is described by Nyholm as an "explosive and compact event" as a result, with a lot of matches going on at one time.
The aim is to present three to four additional events for next year, and the move to America is a chance to showcase great NA and South American talent, while Copenhagen is more for EU teams. Who should be included in the tournament?
