As the end of last month we reported that Blizzard had announced the return of the Overwatch World Cup, where countries would compete to see who could rank in the top 32 countries in Overwatch, and now the results are in.

The countries were selected based on the average competitive skill rating of the top 100 players, and now players and viewers are able to vote on the country's representatives for the competition comittee, which will then be responsible for choosing the strongest team for the nation, also accompanying the teams that advance to the group stage and beyond. Each person gets three votes for the committee, and you can vote for your representatives via the website, but be quick, because voting ends on May 5, with committee members announced on May 8.

Four live group stage events will feature the top 32 countries in Europe, North America, and Asia, seeing eight teams going head to head, with the top two teams in each qualifying for the finals at BlizzCon 2017. More details on these will be announced soon, but for now, here's the list of the top 32 countries and their skill rating:

1. China - 4550
2. South Korea - 4522
3. United States - 4470
4. Sweden - 4309
5. Finland - 4295
6. United Kingdom - 4293
7. Canada - 4291
8. France - 4268
9. Denmark - 4259
10. Russia - 4221

12. Japan - 4184
13. Australia - 4184
14. Chinese Taipei - 4162
15. Netherlands - 4147
16. Hong Kong - 4113
17. Norway - 4101
18. Poland - 4093
19. Brazil - 4071
20. Italy - 4068
21. Spain - 4051
22. Israel - 4007
23. Singapore - 4002
24. Thailand - 3999
25. Argentina - 3992
26. Turkey - 3960

29. Portugal - 3930
30. New Zealand - 3922
31. Austria - 3900

Back when we first reported on the World Cup returning South Korea were in the lead, but now China has secured the top spot, so we don't doubt there'll be plenty of competition when these teams clash. Who do you think will win the tournament though?
