Last night in London was the first ever annual Esports Industry Awards; an event created to honour the games and players, those who are the absolute best at their craft in the world of competitive gaming. The event covered 18 different categories, including best esports game of the year, journalist of the year, and of course the best player. Below, you can see the winner of each category.

• Personality of the Year - Gabriel 'Fallen' Toledo
• Game of the Year - Counter Strike Global Offensive
• eSports Streamer of the Year - Michael 'Imaqtpie' Santana
• PC Player - Marcelo 'Coldzera' David
• Esports Publisher - Valve
• Console Player - Seth 'Scump' Abner
• Best Streaming Partner - Twitch
• Commercial Partner - Monster
• Team of the Year - Team EnVyUs
• Event - The International 6
• Broadcaster - Semmler
• Hardware - SCUF Gaming
• Rookie - Amer "Miracle-" al-Barqawi
• New Esports Game - Overwatch
• UK Player - Callum 'Swanny' Swan (Call of Duty)
• Coverage Website - The Score eSports
• Photographer - Robert Paul
• Journalist - Richard Lewis

Of the 18 winners, the ones that stand out to us the most was the award for CS:GO player Coldzera, whose impressive AWP 4k on Mirage still stands out to us as the most impressive Counter-Strike play of the year, and journalist Richard Lewis, who had a huge hand in uncovering the CS gambling debacle earlier this year.

Do you think the awards went to the right places? Was there anybody you think should've won an award? Let us know below.
