After the success of the first DreamHack Masters in Malmö, DreamHack have announced that they are taking the action to Las Vegas from February 15 to 19 next year.

16 CS:GO teams will compete in this competition at the MGM casino and Grand Garden Arena for $450,000 US dollars in winnings and the chance to become the second DreamHack Masters Champion. Currently the title belongs to Ninjas in Pyjamas, but come February this could all change.

Eight of the teams will be directly invited to the event, however, the other eight will battle through qualifiers in order to get a spot in the tournament.

From February 15 to 17 the tournament will take place on the casino floor of the MGM, however, when the stakes are raised in the playoffs, the action moves to the MGM Grand Garden Arena, where all matches will be played on stage.

More information can be found on the official website. Las Vegas seems to be popular with esports at the moment, as MLG Vegas was announced this week too. Is that a good spot for esports?
