Team Liquid just announced what should be a major upgrade for their Counter-Strike team. Joining the squad as coach is in Luis "Peacemaker" Tadeu, who recently parted ways with Brazilian CS team Tempo Storm.

Tempo Storm, of course, have been shooting stars this year. Since joining the Tempo Storm organisation, the squad has made strong showings at IEM Katowice and DreamHack Austin, and won season 9 of the CEVO Gfinity Pro-League.

Meanwhile, 2016 has been up and down for Team Liquid. Led by Spencer "HiKo" Martin, the team surprised everyone when they beat Fnatic in the group stage at the MLG Columbus Major championship and made it to the semifinals event. But things have been rocky for the team since then, as they parted ways with coach James "GBJame^s" O'Connor and star player Oleksandr "S1mple" Kostyliev stepping down.

Team Liquid owner Victor Gossens seems confident that Peacemaker can get the squad back on track, though. As part of the announcement, he writes:

"We've been working to create the much needed calm that will allow us to build towards becoming the world class team we aspire to be. With Luis, we bring in a talented coach who has a wealth of strategical knowledge and guidance. Out of all the candidates we had for the coaching spot it was clear to us that Luis was the way to go. It is no secret we have been searching on how to optimize our IGL role, and we aim for Luis to take that spot on the team."

Team Liquid have matches scheduled for the ECS this weekend, and will play in the TBS Eleague next week.
