It was announced earlier this year that the tournament organiser BLAST.tv would be hosting and taking point on competitive Rainbow Six: Siege events going forward, and we've now had our first real taste of what this looks like as the BLAST R6 Major Copenhagen has wrapped up.

Following a few weeks of competition, the tournament concluded over the weekend by seeing w7m esports taking on Team Liquid in the grand finals, a match that concluded with w7m on top and heading home with $207,000 in prize money, as well as a boatload of Six Invitational points, which will become vital for securing a spot in the massive tournament at the end of the season.

As for what's next, the BLAST R6 Major USA will be held sometime in November, and before then, there will be a return to league play and other smaller tournaments.
