After over a year away from professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Nicholas "Nitr0" Cannella has returned to the scene and re-signed to Team Liquid. Officially revealed in a blog post after months of reports suggesting that the move would be taking place, Nitr0 re-joins Liquid to star alongside former teammates Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski and Keith "NAF" Markovic.

Nitr0 has spoken about the return, crediting the reason as the most recent CS Major bringing back "a lot of good memories", and that he feels "like I still have a lot of fuel left in my tank for Counter-Strike."

In his time away from Team Liquid, Nitr0 starred on 100 Thieves Valorant roster, where he helped the team reach the semi-finals of the Berlin Masters, and also to third place in the North American Last Chance Qualifier. As for why he decided to leave Valorant despite a few months of playing in the scene, Nitr0 stated; "Valorant was... It was a game that felt right in the moment to switch to but my first option was not Valorant - as everyone knows. My first option was to still compete in Counter-Strike - so it's not like I didn't want to play."

As for where we'll first get to see Nitr0 back in a Liquid jersey, the team will be competing in the BLAST Premier Spring Groups next weekend.
