Millennial Esports has teamed up with ESPN to bring McLaren's World's Fastest Gamer esports competition to ESPN in the second half of the Formula 1 season, meaning we can see how McLaren found its 2018 simulator driver after competition from around the world.

The series will consist of four shows at 30 minutes each, showing insights from Millennial and McLaren as they whittle down thousands of hopefuls down to just 12, who competed at McLaren's F1 headquarters in the UK for the final prize: the contract.

Millennial Esports President and CEO Steve Shoemaker says: "That ESPN is dedicating significant airtime to World's Fastest Gamer shows the interest in the Esports space in racing, the quality of the content our team has produced and the big future for this type of platform. Millennial are already a long way into confirming our plans for WFG season 2, which will feature an even bigger prize and be more challenging for the World's Fastest Gamers!"

All four episodes will be shown back to back on ESPN 2 and on the ESPN app starting at 07:00 ET between live Practice 3 and qualifying for the Belgium Grand Prix next Saturday, August 25, while each will also be replayed a number of times throughout the rest of the season.
