The ESL and Qualcomm has announced the signing of a new partnership deal that will see Samsung tied to the SnapDragon Pro Series, as the tournament's latest presenting partner. The deal will see Samsung known as the official smartphone partner as well, and will see Samsung Galaxy devices exclusively used as the tournament's platform going forward, starting with the Mobile Challenge Finals at DreamHack Valencia.
"By leveraging industry-leading technology from Samsung and Qualcomm Technologies, EFG will continue to heighten the competitive experience for mobile gamers worldwide," said Kevin Rosenblatt, SVP of game ecosystems at ESL FACEIT Group. "Our collaboration highlights that now more than ever, the phone in your pocket is a gateway to amazing competitive gaming experiences."
There is no word of any financials relating to the deal, or likewise any note of the length of the partnership, but Samsung has said that it hopes this will be "an important next step in our pursuit to advancing mobile technology in the esports world."
