Epic Games Store to continue offering free games every week

The generous promotion is going to run until the end of the year as Epic looks to bring more people on board.

Epic Games Store has been mentioned a fair few times this week, we'd wager. Thanks to the company's stance, which has them aggressively undercutting Valve's percentages on Steam, many developers are flocking to Epic's banner in search of more lucrative day one sales.

That being the case, a bunch of games have been announced as platform-exclusive this week, including the PC versions of Shenmue 3, Chivalry 2, Untitled Goose Game and more. Whether timed exclusive or just outright, the Game Store is proving popular with developers and it seems as though the platform is here to stay.

Another thing that's helping boost its popularity is a generous giveaway that sees one free game given away every single week. For example, this week players can download Kingdom, and next week Enter the Gungeon is being given away for nowt.

Those two examples are just the latest, and over the past couple of months, we've already been treated to some excellent titles, and that looks set to continue until the end of the year. That's right, Epic has confirmed that their promotion is going to run until the end of 2019, so if you want to bag some free games between now and then, head on over to the Epic Game Store.
