Elon Musk's xAI has released its first AI model

Following his appearance at the UK's AI summit, Elon Musk has announced that his company xAI has released its first AI model.

Launched on 4th November, the model is only presently available for a "select group" of people. Musk even proudly declared "In some important respects, it is the best that currently exists."

Positioned to be a competitor to OpenAI's ChatGPT, the Grok system will be available for all all X Premium+ subscribers after it exits early beta. The system will reportedly be able to use real-time data from X to help give users the most up-to-date information.
