The Danish Counter-Strike team Astralis is one of the top 4 teams in the world, but you wouldn't know it from looking at their performance at DreamHack Masters Malmö. Astralis got knocked out in the group stage by Ninjas in Pyjamas, making it the team's first tournament in years without a top 8 finish.

We caught up with Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen as Dignitas were playing their quarterfinal on stage to hear what went wrong, and why the team has such a long history of being knocked out by Ninjas in Pyjamas.

Speaking on that, dupreeh says: "It's probably because their play style is really good against us, and for us it's really hard to play against them. Whereas our play style is probably better against teams like Fnatic and others like that.

"And when you're playing against a team where you know your play style is really good, or you have a mental advantage because you just believe that no matter how bad it goes you're gonna win - then it is tough playing against that for the opponent. They don't really show us the respect that other teams maybe show.

"It's a history that goes a long way back, I think almost two or three years now. NiP has been knocking us out in quarterfinals, semifinals, just in general in playoffs. So they do have a mental advantage over us, I'd say."
