As D&D continues to grow in mainstream popularity thanks to Stranger Things, Baldur's Gate III, and more, it seems like Wizards of the Coast is looking to capitalise on the success with a stage show based on the tabletop RPG.

The show has previously appeared in New York, Chicago, Edinburgh, and elsewhere as a one-off version, but now it is being set to run as a proper stage play in New York at Stage 42. Dungeons & Dragons: The Twenty-Sided Tavern is part play, part improv comedy.

It requires a hefty amount of audience participation, as it requires the audience to vote on paths for the three main cast members to take. They'll also be able to take part in mini-games such as beer pong during the show. The official launch is the 5th of May, if you're looking to go.

Would you go and see a Dungeons & Dragons play?
