Dropzone enters closed beta

First tournament also to be held this weekend in Cologne.

Gameforge and Sparkypants Studios today announced that they are providing certain players with early access to Dropzone through a closed beta testing phase.

Described as a "ground-breaking RTS experience", Dropzone allow players to "outfit their squad of three Rigs with specialised gear to face each other in adrenalin-fueled 1v1 battles and race against the clock".

Along with this announcement is another trailer which shows some new gameplay as well.

Along with this, streamers can face each other in Cologne on Saturday July 23 in a tournament that will be streamed via Twitch.

Sparkypants Studios' Sparkle Engine is something that they hope will ensure online play for the game is good as players command squads of three Pilots. The matches will be in the form of 15 minute head-to-head matchups as well.
