Driveclub VR will be running at 60 fps, but will be upscaled
Game director explains the technical side of the game.
Driveclub VR, the special version of the PS4 racing game that is being developed for PlayStation VR, will run at 60 frames per second (the original runs at 30fps). However, it will be "upscaled" to the needed 120 frames per second. That has been clarified by game director Paul Rustchynsky via Twitter.
The game has been optimised "across the board to make this possible", Rustchynsky writes. It remains to be seen whether Driveclub VR ends up being a standalone title or "just" a patch that updates the existing game to support VR. Expect more news on that front during E3.
