Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age is coming our way later this year, and at E3 we got the chance to talk to producers Takeshi Uchikawa, Hokuto Okamoto, and Hikari Kubota about what sets this game apart from the others, which seems to have a lot to do with reflection on past entries.
"This game, Dragon Quest XI, was not made from a system basis like [the previous two] were," Uchikawa said. "It was made looking back at previous Dragon Quests and going back to the core of what Dragon Quest is, which is storytelling, and it's made to be played by a single player old-school style, sitting in front of their TV."
