It's been a busy morning for PlayStation 5 news, as a leaked patent showed us a concept for the controller we'll get with Sony's console, and now Kotaku's Jason Schreier has talked about a core design philosophy with the machine.

Replying to a comment on Google Stadia, Schreier wrote that "play right away, download just what you need, no load times" is one big selling point with the new PlayStation, and we've already heard that speed will be improved with the SSD.

When we got more details on the PS5 last month, Mark Cerny said that "rather than treating games like a big block of data, we're allowing finer-grained access to the data", which seems to correlate with what Schreier is saying.

Elsewhere in Sony news, the Black Friday deals will kick off on November 24, providing savings on consoles, PSVR headsets, and games.
