Double XP for Doom this weekend

Starting now, it's a Double XP weekend for Doom's multiplayer content, which ends at 5:00pm GMT on December 19, and will also include the third and final premium DLC pack Bloodfall, currently priced at £11.99.

Three new multiplayer maps are included in Bloodfall, which are described by Bethesda as follows:

"1) Empyrian - fight in an ageless colosseum held aloft by opposing energies, as the gilded embattlements slowly crumble
2) Boneyard - battle in the outer realm of Hell, where the landscape is made entirely of demon flesh, teeth, and bone
3) Outbreak - engage in intense combat throughout a UAC facility transformed after underworldly science breaks free from containment"

The DLC also includes a new player-controlled demon called Spectre Pinky, and a new weapon, the Grenade Launcher, which banks grenades off walls and deals area damage. New equipment includes Lateral Thrusters, which provide short directional boosts to player movement. There are also new ways to customise your Doom Marine, including the Cultist Armor.
