Every year Valve releases what's called the Battle Pass for Dota 2, which among other things raises money for the prize pool of their biggest competition The International, which regularly sets records for the prize pot awarded at the end of it all, and now they've revealed this year's Battle Pass for August's competition.

You can purchase the Battle pass and find all the details on the website, where there are multiple tiers available, but in terms of content there's a multi-team dungeon clash included, as well as a new Cavern Crawl, Mutation Mode, sprays, team challenge, custom lane creeps, in-game tipping, pro circuit predictions, and much more.

Despite only recently being unveiled, the prize pool already stands at $4,000,000 USD at the time of writing - including 25% of all Battle Pass sales - but Valve has another incentive to sweeten the deal and increase the pot further, writing:

"Each year, the Dota 2 community comes together to raise the largest prize pool in all of esports. If the total surpasses last year's mark of $24,787,916, every Battle Pass owner will receive 10,000 bonus Battle Points. To sweeten the pot, you'll get another 10,000 Battle Points on top of that if the final tally eclipses $30,000,000."

Each year the prize pool continues to break records, so we may well see this $30,000,000 mark broken this year. Are you getting the Battle Pass?
