We found out earlier this year that id Software and Bethesda's hellish shooter Doom is coming to the Nintendo Switch on November 10, and in a recent interview Wolfenstein II's creative director Jen Matthies has praised the quality of this version.

"I'm not a technical person, so I can't talk too much about any concessions, but Doom was the proof of concept," he said when talking about Wolfenstein's Switch edition. "That version [Doom] is working out really well and since we are on the same engine as Doom in id Tech 6, we expect The New Colossus on Switch to be on par with the Doom version."

Matthies also said that the decision to make Wolfenstein a Switch game was a "fairly recent development." Do you think Doom will be a great game for you to have on your Switch?

"This is a great port, despite all the visual sacrifices."

REVIEW. Written by Kim Orremark & Mike Holmes

"It's fast, intense, stylish, and bloody. It feels old without feeling outdated, and the pace of combat means that you'll want to play on for just a little longer."
