Dontnod reveals new studio and Battlecrew: Space Pirates

We'll admit that we didn't expect to be writing the words "Dontnod" and "competitive online shooter" in the same sentence today, but here we are. There's a bit more to it than just that to be fair; developers Dontnod Eleven are a new part of the studio, better (and formerly) known as Hesaw, the creators of Blue Estate.

Battlecrew: Space Pirates, as you can see in the trailer below, is a 2.5D competitive online shooter. It reminds us a little of Arrowhead's The Showdown Effect, except this new title's got a comic book sci-fi style that more closely resembles Overwatch in tone.

The game is heading to Early Access on Steam "soon" and when it lands it'll do so with two game modes, Gold Rush ("where you and your team have to collect as much gold as possible to win") and Team Death Match. Up to eight players will feature in each match, and there'll be four different classes.
