Don't expect Wild Hunt references in the Witcher Netflix series

While The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt certainly put the story of the White Wolf on the map for younger audiences and gave it a broader, international audience, the novels by Andrzej Sapkowski are the source materials for CD Projekt Reds hugely successful video game series. The popularity of the games, however, has made fans of the franchise wonder if the upcoming Netflix series starring Henry Cavill as Geralt will come to grab references from the video game adaptation in the future.

Showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich shot this down quick during an interview with The Wrap at San Diego Comic-Con this year (via Dualshockers), stating "Extreme long vision is no, we will not start adapting the games", before continuing "I can only attack one season at a time, I'm so excited for this one, the rest kind of makes my mind explode right now. If someone says 'what happens in Season 7', sure I have thoughts. Fingers crossed, we get there".
