Don't expect to see anything from Doom until 2015
What was shown at QuakeCon was just an early version.

Few know what to expect from the next chapter of id Software's Doom-franchise. The game was recently showed for the first time to those attending Quakecon, but since that was apparently an early version of the game, it was kept as a "secret" for the paying crowd.
Now PC Gamer reports that Bethesda's Pete Hines has expressed to them, that Doom will officially be shown until sometime next year.
Everyone who was hoping for a new Doom soon will have to wait a little longer it would seem.
