Donkey has put Shrek's Swamp up on Airbnb

It may sound like satire but it's genuinely real. Donkey has decided to sign up to Airbnb as a new host to put Shrek's Swamp up as a home listing. Based in the Scottish Highlands in the UK, the listing states that the home is a Studio that can house three guests and which features two beds and one bathroom.

Unbelievably, the listing is a very accurate one too, as the local area has been designed to resemble Shrek's Swamp, and the house itself looks exactly like the famed fictional hovel, with an interior that is very similar to boot. Obviously the main difference here is that guests will be able to shower and do their business in an actual bathroom, even if it does look like Shrek's iconic outhouse.

The description for the listing states: "Nestled deep within the forests of the Scottish Highlands and accented with the cozy comforts Shrek has accumulated over the years, the swamp offers a retreat like no other. This mud-laden, moss-covered, murky-watered oasis is a perfectly snug spot to escape from village life and embrace the beauty of nature."

As for why Shrek's Swamp is now up on Airbnb, it's all for a good cause, as Airbnb will be making a one-time donation to the HopScotch Children's Charity as part of the booking. If you're hoping to stay a night at Shrek's home, bookings open on October 13 at 18:00 BST, with one and two-night stays available between October 27-29.
