Sega and Creative Assembly have revealed a brand new character coming to the Total War: Three Kingdoms roster, and it's none other than Dong Zhuo, who will be joined by his adopted son, the legendary warrior Lü Bu.

This surprise 12th playable faction will let you "conquer through cruelty, purging the lands of all who would defy his rule," according to the press release. Dong Zhuo will become a playable faction once his army is defeated in battle, or by reaching the rank of Emperor.

The game is coming on March 7, but for more be sure to check out our recent hands-on preview, and hear what Creative Assembly has to say about romance and records in Three Kingdoms.

Is Dong Zhuo a welcome addition?
