Esports Company FirstBlood has announced that they've partnered with Vietnam-based team Divine Esports in a bid to expand their influence in the region. This marks Firstblood's initial expansion into Vietnam and Southeast Asia, as they are yet to make a mark there, and this also includes the Vietnam Divine League too.
Tran Thu Dong, Co-founder of Divine, says: "We want to make Vietnam a centre for Esports in Southeast Asia", showing the intent of the team and what they want to achieve."
Divine Esports started out life as a PUBG community clan, before climbing the ladder to become a competitive team coming out of Vietnam. Success at a national level put them on the map, making organisations like FirstBlood aware of them.
"Divine League's success is an instrumental proof to what our ultimate vision is at FirstBlood, the competitive side of gaming could be available to just about anyone," added FirstBlood CEO Joe Zhou.
This helps build the portfolio for FirstBlood, who have bases across North America, Europe, and India.
Is this a good move for them?
