EA and Dice have revealed the upcoming plans for Battlefield 1, a road map of what they hope to roll out for the future to "ensure that this fun will last."

The first of these plans is that hardcore servers should be coming soon, but nothing much was said aside from "keep an eye out for more news on the future". At least they're coming though.

Also announced are tweaks to the Suez map, based on player feedback. They say they are changing the layout in Conquest to make matches more balanced, as well as expanding the layout to feature five flags rather than three. They are also reducing the capture size of two control points within the villages (flags A and C, currently) and adding one armoured vehicle to each team base, giving dominated teams a better chance to get across the map quicker.

November 16 is a key date that they highlighted in the update, as Battlefest will start then. This will be a week long celebration with activities, log-in rewards, a livestream, a unique Battlepack revision, community missions and more, with more information on that being revealed soon.

Custom games are part of the road map too, as Fog of War will be premiered at Battlefest, a unique team deathmatch where players will fight in fog with mini map and soldier name tags off. You will be able to find custom games in the Battlefield 1 multiplayer menu.

A "major update" is on the way this month too, filled with tweaks and improvements, including the rent-a-server program and a new custom game. There's also a new map called Giant's Shadow coming, arriving in December as a free update, and more information will be given soon.

Which of these changes is most interesting for you Battlefield 1 fans?
