The team behind military strategy games like R.U.S.E, Steel Division, and the Wargame franchise seem to have serious issues with their employers and have gone on strike. This move comes after more than half of the developers complained internally for over a year, according to a statement published on the site for the Union of Video Game Workers.

21 employees from the Parisian company have been on strike and stopped working two days ago, citing unpaid overtime and issues regarding minimum wage. Fundraising has been put in place to support the developers in what is the first strike in the French video game industry for almost seven years, the last one taking place at 2011 by employees at Eden Games.

The French company has denied the accusations in a statement on its website. The latter states in particular that they don't have a "crunch" culture at the studio, and blames payroll issues on recent legislative changes.

The studio's latest release was Steel Division: Normandy 1944, and a DLC expansion was released for the game earlier this week.
