Destiny testers played 6 million games during the alpha

The PlayStation 4 exclusive alpha test for Destiny drew to a close this weekend, and judging by their latest Weekly Update, Bungie couldn't be happier with the results. A whopping 6.4 million games were played during the alpha, Bungie says.

"A lot of our friends asked us if this was a real Alpha. It was", Bungie writes. "We've gathered a mountain of data and feedback. We're learning and reacting and Destiny is going to be better because of it. You'll see the fruits of that labor as early as next month, assuming we're lucky enough to have you in our Public Beta."

Among the other alpha stats Bungie has shared, players got 149 million kills with primary weapons alone. More on the Bungie website.
