Destiny drops balancing for a while with Iron Banner
Long awaited gear-powered multiplayer landing today.

Normally, when you play PvP in the Crucible game mode of Destiny, the game ignores the superior stats from the armor and weapons you've carefully collected on your PvE adventures. But that's not the case during the Iron Banner event, which kicks off today.
In the Iron Banner playlist, those with the best gear will reign supreme. As you triumph, you'll unlock rewards like new gear, banners and other stuff that is sure to make your puny fellow players green with envy. The Iron Banner event lasts for a week, until October 14th. More on Bungie.net.
