Denmark's August Rosenmeier just beat England's David Bytheway 3-1 in the Grand Final of the FIWC, which this year took place alongside the real event in Brazil.
It was Rosenmeier's third final, and for winning he'll take home a cool $20,000 and receive a ticket to the Ballon d'Or.
"I'm absolutely delighted and I can't describe how it feels to be champion," said the 18 year old. "Denmark isn't here at the World Cup but we showed them we can play football on the virtual pitch. It was amazing to receive the trophy from Ronaldo."
Ronaldo then offered these words: "I think it's great to see this beautiful tournament here during the World Cup. I was really impressed by the level of skill on display at the Final Showdown. These guys are really talented and I thought Rosenmeier was a worthy winner."
20 finalists took part, after being whittled down from 2 million players. According to EA, 5 million have competed in the event since 2009. The tournament is also acknowledge by Guinness World Records as the world's largest online tournament.
