Death Stranding's new Briefing Trailer lands at TGS

We're not too far away from release right now, and a new video has arrived featuring the masked Die-Hardman.

Hideo Kojima promised to show us a lot of Death Stranding at the Tokyo Game Show today, and that he did, including a new Briefing Trailer featuring Sam (played by Norman Reedus) and the masked Die-Hardman.

Amelie also shows up as well, and Die-Hardman proposes that Sam assist the two of them "re-establish the UCA", or the United Cities of America, helping to rebuild the country. Essentially it's a seven-minute video giving you a more solid understanding of the premise, the story, and some of the key players in the narrative.

Kojima also shared the picture below on Twitter to introduce people to the basic gameplay, although he says that "as a game creator I'd like you to play without any info and enjoy the surprise by discovering yourself".

With such a strong narrative focus, it's not too surprising that Death Stranding has a "Very Easy Mode for movie fans", which lets them enjoy the story unhindered by other gameplay elements that might distract them.

Do you have a more solid grasp on what's going on now that you've seen this trailer?
