Death Stranding

Death Stranding is definitely political

Where many developers shy away from admitting that their games are political, Kojima Productions to embraces the subject in its upcoming game.

Politics can often lead to some very heated discussions and even make some of us think twice before supporting certain companies or buying their products. That's why many developers deny that their games are political, as it could potentially affect sales if they'd admit it. Kojima Productions has never been afraid of having politics in its games, as the company has killed off fictional presidents, had us fight atop of Federal Hall and more, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that Death Stranding touches upon the subject either.

Don't worry, we're not going to spoil anything about Death Stranding's story, but instead show you one of the collectibles in it. Because doing certain side-missions and getting high ratings from specific characters will reward you with documents detailing the fascinating world. Some of these reference real world events and people, including the American president Donald Trump. Some of the references are more obvious than others, but this one leaves very little to the imagination.

What do you think about games that reference real world events and politics?
