Capcom has revealed its earnings results for the last fiscal year, which ended on March 31, and the first thing to note is that revenue rose 13.2% to ¥87.17 billion, while net revenue also managed to grow 14.6% to ¥8.8 billion compared to the same period last year.

Capcom stated in the report that both Resident Evil 7 and Monster Hunter XX have been solid earners during the period, also mentioning that ports of older Resident Evil titles "performed well." The developer didn't clarify which games these were, although one would suspect that it could be the remasters of Resident Evil 4 and 5.

Dead Rising 4, however, has "underperformed", according to Capcom, who has previously stated that it may be due to the more "approachable nature of the game."

Despite providing the company with a rise in core revenue, all three games mentioned above did not hit the expected sales targets, and Capcom is looking to further increase revenue during this fiscal year.

REVIEW. Written by Bengt Lemne

"In many ways, Dead Rising 4 steps even further away from the original game in terms of its structure."
