Last December Invader Studios - the Italian indie studio and creator of Resident Evil 2 Reborn, a homage to Resident Evil 2 by Capcom - published the very first gameplay trailer of its debut game Daymare: 1998, a disturbing survival/horror title. The studio has announced today the date on which they will start a Kickstarter campaign to support this exciting project, and the crowdfunding campaign will start from February 15 at 16:00 GMT/17:00 CET. It will last 30 days and will end on St. Patrick's Day, on March 17.
At the moment we don't have many other details, except that the standard digital copy of Daymare: 1998 will be priced at 15 euros (no price in pounds was included), with which the players, in addition to getting their copy, will see their name entered in telephone books near the call boxes/save points scattered throughout the game. In addition, players who offer this contribution will also receive a special thanks on their official website. But be careful: since the game, as the title suggests, takes place in 1998, 1998 and '98 numbers will have a very special value; they will be some real magic numbers. However, Invader Studios hasn't revealed much, but they will offer more details in the coming days.
Invader Studios, on their blog, said: "Today is a great day, we can now reveal the start date of our Kickstarter campaign! It's almost unbearable to not be able to share, right now, all we have in store for you, but believe us when we tell you it's worth the wait for another few days. We are confident each and everyone of you will find something extremely interesting in our rewards. We'd also like to remind you that the first backers will be granted some exclusive promotions at discounted prices, after all life was definitely cheaper in '98!"
Below, you can look at some new screenshots of the game and also the first gameplay trailer, in case you missed it. What are you expecting to hear when they reveal more information?
