Your chance to get in on the action just prior to release.
Relic Entertainment and Sega have announced that, starting April 21 from 10am PST (that's 7:00pm BST) until 10am PST (again 7:00pm BST) on April 24, there's an open beta running for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 3, and players who want to join the beta can register via this link.
Players will be able to sample Dawn of War 3's multiplayer mode in this beta, with access to all three factions (Space Marines, Eldar, and Orks) and a selection of some elite heroes from each class, with which players can try different strategies and different styles of play. In addition, this open test also allows you to see the new Masters of War skins - the Dark Queen skin for Lady Solaria (Imperial Knight), the Ghost Seer skin for Farseer Taldeer (Wraithknight), and the Big Kustom skin for Beauty (Morkanaut) will all be available. If you pre-order your copy of the game at some specific retailers, The Masters of War Skin Pack is included free of charge too.
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 3 will be fully released on April 27, so it's unlikely there will be any major changes made as a result of the open beta. It's instead probably meant as a last minute stress test for the servers ahead of the anticipated rush of players at launch, so if you're interested in the game we suggest you direct your attention to our recent multiplayer hands-on preview.
Is the beta going to be sampled by you, or are you waiting for the full release?
