David Jaffe is one of the gaming industry's most iconic creators, being behind the original God of War trilogy and Twisted Metal, however, after setting up his own studio The Bartlet Jones Supernatural Detective Agency to create Drawn to Death (which ultimately failed to sell enough copies to keep the company afloat) there's now doubt as to whether Jaffe will continue to create games.

Recently Jaffe was a guest in Colin Moriarty's Colin's Last Stand Fireside Chats, and here he expresses doubt as to whether we can look forward to more projects:

"As for whether I'll make another game or not, I don't know," said Jaffe. "I don't have any plans right now, and I don't really have any ambition to right now. I think if I were to make another game it would be harder to imagine doing it with the kind of stuff I've done in the past. If you look at what Sony is doing right now, it's amazing, I'm obsessed with Spider-Man right now .... but what they make these days is so different with the kind of stuff I'm vibing with right now."

Jaffe did note later in the episode that he's still interested in creating smaller games, but he considers it a mountain to climb in the years to come, and nothing is certain to come of it.

Would you want to see more from Jaffe?

REVIEW. Written by Sam Bishop

"Despite depth in terms of customisation, the gameplay feels very bare and lacking, and no amount of skins, weapons, and taunts can change that."
