Voice actor David Hayter, best known for being the former voice of Snake in Metal Gear Solid, has revealed that he once threw up on a mic while recording because he had to make so many vomiting sounds.

"One time, I actually threw up on the mic because I had to make a bunch of vomiting sounds in a row," he said in the interview, and although this sounds like a funny anecdote, the point of the interview was to discuss the reasons why voice actors are going on strike.

As part of this voice actor Jennifer Hale also discussed long recording sessions and the toll it takes. "It's the equivalent of a four hour one person show," she said. "So that's very demanding, especially when a lot of it is battle-oriented, and IT'S ALL SCREAMING AND YOU GO LIKE THIS! [...] I've got a friend right now who's undergoing [vocal] surgery and will not be able to work for months."
