We caught up with Gazillion's David Brevik to learn more about how the community got to pick the next batch of characters for the game and what is planned ahead of the rebranding (Marvel Heroes 2016).

"The game has changed a lot in the last year, so come back and take a look," says David Brevik of Marvel Heroes 2016. "This is an opportunity to do so. But at the same time we're going to have a really big patch associated with it. So it's going to be not just a rebranding, but an opportunity for this new story and the leaderboard, and all these new features, controller support and a whole bunch of other things coming to really make that a bigger patch. A bigger event than normal."

Having pulled from Marvel's movies (Age of Ultron most recently) and naturally comic books, we asked Brevik if they were looking at possible tie-ins with any of Marvel's TV shows.

"There's definitely a lot of interest for not only the Netflix stuff, but also the ABC TV shows," says Brevik. "Not all those things work out, we're trying to work on it. We'll see if it happens. I can guarantee anything, but these are complicated political discussions."

Brevik further elaborated on the work needed to make it happen:

"I think everybody wants it and it will eventually happen, but there's a process to go through."

REVIEW. Written by Mike Holmes

"Our advice is give it a try, after all it's free, and if you enjoy the first hour or so then don't be afraid to invest a little to get the best out of the experience."
